Poor Communicators are Poison

Good communications requires clarity and consistency with minimal filtration. Every layer of management adds another filter. Each manager has their own filter through which they see things and receive information. Each manager also has a personal agenda that drives the information they share and the “spin” they put on the information.
Understanding the tendencies of each of your officers (managers) when it comes to sharing information allows you to manage the information flow and quality. You cannot simply put a message into the organizational atmosphere and hope it reaches its desired target or achieves its desired intent.
You are the leader responsible for communications within the organization. If your officers (managers) can’t, or won’t, carry the message appropriately, it’s your fault if you let it go unchecked!
Lead them forward or mange them out, but do not leave poor communicators in place. Their intentional behavior when it comes to failing to communicate appropriately is poison and needs to be removed!
